50 Shades of Cool: Why Wearing Sunglasses is Good for You (Part 5)

Throughout history and on their own merit, sunglasses became a widespread accessory in popular culture. From the first incipient versions of sunglasses used by the Inuit in the Artic regions, to Jack Nicholson, Lagerfeld, Bono Vox, Elvis or the Velvet Underground – just to name a few – a pair of dark glasses are sometimes the primary component of a look.

In our final part of our comprehensive list of the benefits of wearing sunglasses we take a peek on the impact of sunglasses in popular culture and fashion. If you’ve missed other posts on our 50 Shades of Cool list, please click here: (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)

‘With my sunglasses on, I’m Jack Nicholson. Without them, I’m fat and 60.’ Jack Nicholson.

  1. The first versions of sunglasses can be dated back to prehistoric times. Artic peoples whore flattened walrus ivory glasses looking through narrow slits to block sun rays.
  2. Since the 1920’s, sunglasses became widespread, especially among movie stars.

  4. It was Jack Nicholson who once said: ‘With my sunglasses on, I’m Jack Nicholson. Without them, I’m fat and 60.’
  5. Sunglasses have also become associated with certain lifestyles. When you’re young and having fun is what life’s all about, sunglasses help you keep it together if you need to hide the undesirable effects of a long night.

  9. Most high-end fashion brands launch designer sunglasses every year. Karl Lagerfeld, the fashion designer himself, is known to be a sunglasses aficionado.
  10. And it has been recently disclosed that the lead singer of U2 is never seen in public without sunglasses, not only as a stylish option, but also due to health reasons.

Looking for the Perfect Shades Supplier

Are you looking for sunglasses for personal use, or are you interested in supplying your wholesale business? Whatever reason you have to look for shades supplier, a number of them are available both online and offline. While some sellers sell sunglasses at high prices and low quality, there are others who advertise cheap and high quality items. The real challenge, however, is finding a place to look for them.

Many wholesale suppliers do not require large bulk orders to make the most of their low prices. So, you do not have to purchase 500 pairs if you do not need to purchase that many.

The Truth about Shades Sales

A good shades supplier has a wide variety of sunglasses available at bargain prices. He or she makes sure that the customers can offer the same low price to their own customers. Regardless of the state of the country’s economy, the high demand of sunglasses for men, women, and children remains high, especially during the summer season. What has really changed with the low economy is the price that most people are willing or able to pay for a certain item.

Many people are no longer willing or able to pay hundreds of pounds for a pair of designer label sunglasses. Instead, they are looking for designer inspired sunglasses that are of high quality, fashionable, and available at half the actual cost of its counterpart.

How to Choose Shades Supplier

Are you looking for a wholesale supplier of shades? If yes, then you need to make sure that you have enough time to research your options. This will make sure that you are able to get the best return of investment.

Choosing a supplier that offers a wide selection of style is important. This supplier appeals to a number of people and has a wide range of target market, expanding his or her client base. As a customer, you may want to make sure that your supplier is able to supply you with everything you need, from children’s eyewear to men’s sunglasses and from sports sunglasses to fashionable eyewear.

Important Quality of a Shades Supplier

One important quality of a supplier that you may want your sunglass supplier to have involves the location of inventory. You will want you sunglass supplier to have his inventory on site and in stock.

This will enable quick deliveries to you because if otherwise, you may be stuck waiting for weeks for shipments. More importantly, whether you are a regular customer or not, make sure you purchase your items from a reputable supplier.

Are you looking for the perfect shades supplier? If you are then all you need to do is visit this site.

Why go for wholesale shades?

Shades of any kind are very beneficial for the eyes. It keeps us protected from the glare of the sun. Aside from this, it also shields our eyes from dust and smoke. There are still other benefits that we can get when we wear sunglasses. That is why an average person own more than one pair of shades.

The popularity of sunglasses is constantly growing over the years. Designers are always renovating and creating new styles and concepts of sunglasses. This has added to the urge of people to buy more shades to complete their looks.

Since shades are produced in different styles, designs, colors and frames, it is very expensive to buy one pair from each collection. This has caused a problem for some people because they wont be able to buy all the pairs that they want. So to address this, suppliers and distributors have introduced what we call as buying of wholesale shades. This scheme is very simple, all you have to do is to purchase a minimum number of shades from their collection and in return you will be granted a discount for it. Most of the time these discounts becomes bigger as your purchases becomes bigger too.

Buying wholesale shades have instantly clicked when it was introduced to the people. It allows customer to buy numerous shades at a very low price. Instead of buying one expensive pair of sunglasses, you can now have several pairs at an affordable price.

Wholesale shades have a lot of benefits to it. Aside from buying it cheap, it gives you the option of having several shades from a certain collection.

It is truly fun to have your own collection of sunglasses because you get to mix and match it to your outstanding look. And when you avail of the wholesale shades offer you get to start with your own collection or if you already have an existing one you will have more choices to choose from whenever you go out.

Although wholesale shades are cheap it doesn’t necessary mean to say that they are made of poor quality. Most suppliers and distributors are making sure that they are only selling top quality shades at an affordable price. This is one of their marketing strategies to attract more customers. Just think of it this way, if you are the supplier or distributor of wholesale shades, will you allow your name or company name be besmirch by negative reviews and feedbacks from previous customers? Surely not, because you wouldn’t last in the market for long if this will be your practice. Also, people will not trust you anymore even if you create other scheme to sell wholesale shades.

Wholesale shades have been conceptualized for practicality. A lot of people are buying several pairs of sunglasses for no reason at all. Sometimes they just buy a pair because of the design of the sunglass. No matter, it is a well known fact that almost everybody own more than one pair of sunglasses.

Get in touch with a shades supplier or a wholesale sunglasses supplier

Are you thinking of buying wholesale sunglasses? Are you in search of shades supplier that you can trust? A supplier that is able to deliver what they have promised? Someone who can provide what you need at a given time?

Well, you can start searching at your local stores. There will be a quite number of shades supplier within a certain locality. So take your time and try to check them out one by one. The advantage of doing this is that you will be able to see for yourself the products that they are selling. You will be able to judge whether the shades they are offering to their buyers are of good quality or not. Furthermore, you will be able to talk directly to the owner, allowing you to discuss different options that you can have and also different features of shades that you can avail of. The only downside of this is that you will have to spend money in reaching different shades supplier because you have to go directly to their store, although you can call them but this wouldn’t be advisable since they will be too busy to answer all your queries over the phone.

If you are not at ease at jumping from one store to another, you can definitely ask a friend or a family member to go with you. This could be a bonding time for you. While checking different eyewear stores where you can buy wholesale sunglasses or reading glasses, you get to know more about the person you are with.

Another option for you and the most convenient is to check out different suppliers over the internet. You don’t even have to be a computer savvy just to be able to access the internet. All you have to do is just type the word that you are looking for in the search bar and hit the enter key – within minutes it will populate hundreds of options to choose from.

The tricky part about this is how to filter which shades supplier should you contact and which you should not. This can be made easy by doing some investigations about your prospect shades supplier.

The internet is abounding with different information so it is a great place to do the research that you are planning. Try to gather as much information as you can. Read the negative and positive comments or feedbacks and after which try to decipher if the positive outweighs the negative. Also, check how long the company has been in the market because this could mean reliability. However don’t equate longevity to trustworthiness and dedication. They are completely different and they only form part and parcel of the whole package. So you should still check for other factors before finally deciding to purchase from the shades supplier that you have on your list.

Once you have decided which shades supplier, give them a call or send them an email stating your interest in their products. This will open your line of communication to the shades supplier that you are looking for.

A reputable shades supplier is just aclick away.  See what is more, most of your target collections are here.

Wayfarer Sunglasses – The Rebel’s Sunglasses

Originally manufactured by Ray-Ban, wayfarer sunglasses gained popularity in the 1950’s and 1960’s. But by the late 1960’s and 1970’s, the radical new shape of wayfarer’s masculine design suggesting an unstable dangerousness didn’t pair up with the flower power generation.

Though since the Summer of Love fading in popularity, Wayfarer sunglasses managed a lucrative comeback in 1982. The reason: a product placement $50,000-a-year deal to place Ray-Ban’s in movies and television shows – an advertising effort by the brand which continued throughout the 1990’s up until 2007, granting Ray Ban the fame and prestige within the sunglasses industry.

Sunglasses for Children to play safe outside this summer

About 50 percent of actual eye damage occurs before the age of 18. This means children need eye protection even more than adults do. Here is a bit of information to help your kids stay protected when playing outside this summer.

Human eyes have natural mechanisms of protection from the light and foreign bodies, such as eye lashes, blinking, tearing or even the bone structure around the eyes.

But just as excessive sun exposure can damage your skin, it can also damage your eyes over time, causing photokeratitis or contributing to cataracts or macular degeneration. All because of the harmful effects of UV radiation.

The natural lens in your eye blocks out more UV light as you get older. This means the younger you are, the more important it is to protect your eyes from UV rays. Hence, it is extremely important to get your kids a pair of sunglasses before letting them play outside in the summer, so that their fragile eyes stay protected, whilst they are still developing.

But sunglasses are not just for protection in sunny days. Cloudy days can do as much harm to children as bright clear days. Even though it seems odd, you can get as much, or even more, sun exposure on an overcast day than you can on a bright day.

What is UV Radiation?

The sun’s UV radiation breaks down into three types: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C. And although the earth’s ozone layer absorbs UV-C rays,  both UV-A and UV-B rays penetrate that layer and can cause damage.

When picking the right pair of sunglasses for children, choose shades that screen out most of the damaging UV rays. If a certain pair of sunglasses neglects to offer details about UV protection, avoid those. Keep in mind that the colour and degree of darkness of the lenses have nothing to do with the sunglasses’ ability to block UV rays.

Famous Album Covers featuring Sunglasses (Part I)

Shades are most popular in the summer, when the sun is out and UV radiation is at its peak. Summertime is a particularly enjoyable time of the year with people gathering outside for drinks and sports activities. Here are the first five:

Stevie Wonder – Music of Mind (Tamla, 1972)

music sunglassesNot for the best of reasons, Stevie Wonder is known for his shades collection. Born blind, Wonder is one of the most critically acclaimed artists of all time. The sleeve of Music of Mind, released in 1972, features this genius Funk/Soul artist donning a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

The man behind huge hits such as Somebody to Love Me (feat Boy George) and Uptown Funk (with Bruno Mars) is depicted in the cover of Mark Ronson & The Business Intl – Record Collection wearing wayfarer sunglasses with pink temples. Quite an appropriate colour selection for such a master of up-tempo modern pop classics with an 80’s electronic flavour.

A Flock of Seagulls – I Ran (Jive, 1982)

music eyewear

For the cover of their 4th single from their first album, 80’s band A Flock of Seagulls chose an image of a woman wearing oversized sunglasses. This album sleeve of the authors of pop classic The More You Live, The More You Love, is one of the most iconic images of the 80’s.

Sunglasses trends for 2016

September was a busy month for top designers, media and fashion aficionados around the world. First New York, then London, Milan and finally Paris closed the round of internationally renowned Fashion Weeks.

Aside all the celebrity and glamour, sunglasses also played a role in the busiest month for worldwide fashion industry. Specialists say some eyewear trends for the next spring/summer could be spotted both on and off the catwalk. Here are the most prominent:

First and foremost, Round Sunglasses. This retro-style frame has recently and slowly made a comeback and it’s safe to say a boom will occur in 2016. Same goes for Mirrored Sunglasses. Huge in the eighties, surprisingly (or not) mirrored sunglasses recently made a comeback last festival season. Here at Euro Optics UK we’ve lost count of the number of Coachella tweets with pretty girls wearing them.

Polarized Sunglasses Wholesale is Helpful

Many people have heard the phrase polarized sunglasses wholesale, but they do not really know what it means. This type of sunglasses is made by the process of Polarization, which is a method used since 1950’s to block out glare.

Polarized sunglasses are useful in protecting the eyes from the harmful rays of the sun by blocking the ultraviolet rays of the sun or any other bright light. It works by obstructing the bright light from hitting your retina and preventing you from squinting your eyes and getting sightless by it.
