If you are looking to set up yourself as an independent trader or a seller of sunglasses, opening a seller account on eBay may be a good way to start. Here are a few tips for those who wish to open a sunglasses business or make some extra money selling sunglasses on eBay. Part two of three: Building credibility.
So you have decided to become a sunglasses seller on eBay. You have learned in our previous post that it’s probably best to focus on a niche, say wayfarers and aviators. You’ve got your paperwork in order, so it’s time to get to the next stage.
Build a reputation
In order to be a successful seller on eBay you will need to build a reputation. Be trustworthy. Build your credibility by setting up an About Me Page with a picture of yourself. If you are transparent and have nothing to hide, people will be more than happy to make business with you and give positive feedback.
Offer money back guarantee on all products. Standing behind your products is certainly one way to build trustworthy relationships with customers. At least provide detailed accurate descriptions of your products, so that customers get what they have order for. This includes pictures.
Also, learn about search terms. It’s not just about big words such as “fantastic” or “Top Notch”. Most people use keywords to search for their products, so this is something worth spending some of your time looking into.
When taking pictures, make sure you take good resolution shots of your products, not just grab a similar picture of the internet and upload it to your account. Remember, if a customer is ordering aviators with dark blue lenses, he will not be happy to open a package containing black lenses.
